Sixty-four major American cities are now home to almost as much solar capacity as the entire country had installed at the end of the 2010. According to Environment America's new report, Shining Cities 2016, co-authored by Frontier Group, ranks America’s major cities for their solar power.
The top cities for solar per capita:
- San Jose
- San Diego
- Las Vegas
- New Orleans
- Riverside, CA
- San Antonio
Environment America released the report Wednesday with quotes from the mayors of Honolulu, Dallas, San Diego and Los Angeles. The team held media events in Phoenix, San Antonio, D.C., and Minneapolis; and released the report in Honolulu and Jacksonville, with more releases planned.
